Cosmostyle is a family business based in Hunters Hill and we specialise in custom made Curtains, Blinds, Shutters and Awnings, We create and finish spaces our customers enjoy, by being innovative and practical. We work with Residential & Commercial Customers directly as well as interior designers, aged care providers and real estate agents and provide a one stop shop from sourcing fabric/ the best product, quoting, measuring and installation.
Tell us about your business?
Cosmostyle was established in 2009 in Hunters Hill by fashion designer and head creative, Adele Westlake. Adele’s vision for Cosmostyle was to offer truly stunning, bespoke window furnishings using beautiful fabrics, perfectly crafted materials, and quality finishes – delivered with absolute care and attention to detail. Shari has been part of Cosmostyle for the past 15 years, finally making the move to join the team full time in 2017 after completing her MBA. Adele and Shari have grown the family business across Sydney’s Lower North Shore and Northern Suburbs with their extensive product knowledge, personalised approach, and dedication to customer satisfaction.
What has been your greatest success?
Taking over the business in 2024 and growing Cosmostyle into my vision has been a major achievement. Surviving through COVID was incredible too.
It’s also deeply fulfilling to see my mum thriving in her element - not just as my mother, but as an equal in business.
What do you value about FBA?
I joined FBA because there are some ideas and topics that just don’t come up in other business. Decisions can often be emotionally driven and what is “fair” is often distorted.
I am so excited to talk to and discuss and learn from other successful family businesses.
