Tell us about your family business.
Purple Giraffe was founded in 2014 by Lynda Schenk, an experienced marketing professional who saw a need for outsourced, flexible, and cost-effective marketing solutions for small-to-medium-sized businesses. Driven by a commitment to help clients grow, Lynda crafted Purple Giraffe to provide a full services approach to marketing, offering a blend of traditional, digital, and social marketing.
Our unique edge lies in our client-first philosophy, with a simple motto: “When you win, we win.” Our service model integrates as an extension of our clients' teams, allowing them to experience what it’s like to have a dedicated marketing team on their side. Although founded in Adelaide, our very first client was Alkoomi Wines, from the Great Southern region of WA. Now, with our recent expansion into WA, and a local representative, we are bringing our collaborative, family-focused ethos to more businesses in the West.
What has been your greatest success?
This year has been momentous for Purple Giraffe, as we celebrated our 10th anniversary - a decade of empowering businesses through strategic, results-driven marketing. Expanding into WA has been another major milestone, highlighted by the building of strong relationships with members of Family Business Association WA and subsequently assisting some members with their marketing requirements. Purple Giraffe is a family business, and we love working with other family businesses.
Another significant achievement, we also recently celebrated being a finalist in the Creative Industries category in the Fremantle Chamber of Commerce and Industry Business Awards. These accomplishments speak to the trusted relationships we build with our clients and reflect our commitment to delivering meaningful results.
We continue to stay at the forefront of marketing by embracing AI-driven tools while also keeping our finger on the pulse of traditional and relationship marketing, adding value and efficiency for clients. By continuously evolving, we’re able to provide services that meet both current and future marketing needs.
What do you value about being part of FBA?
Joining Family Business Association was a natural step to connect with other family businesses and share in WA’s vibrant community. FBA’s network provides invaluable opportunities for learning and collaboration, which resonates deeply with our approach.
