Tell us about your business.

I’m proud to lead Technical Resources, a WA owned and operated engineering and technical recruitment consultancy that’s been part of the Perth business community since 1990. We’ve grown up alongside the resources sector and remain proudly independent. Our promise is simple and enduring: People First. It shows up in how we treat candidates, clients, contractors, and each other. Our core values guide everything we do; these are Family, Relationships, Integrity, Quality, Innovation, and Accountability.

We are a multigenerational family business. I stepped into the CEO role in July 2025, working alongside my brothers Matthew Iustini (Chief Growth & Innovation Officer) and Luke Iustini (CFO), and extended family who contribute across the business. Our ‘all in’ mindset, always ready to roll up our sleeves and do what’s needed, has been the foundation of our culture for decades.

What makes us unique is our depth and continuity. We are long tenured specialists who know WA’s projects and people intimately, and relationships that span decades.

What has been your greatest success?

Our greatest success is the compounding impact we’ve created for people and projects over 35+ years, these measured in enduring careers, trusted client partnerships, and a reputation for delivery. For a major partner, we recently averaged 19 days’ time to fill against a 43-day industry benchmark, with 59 placements in 12 months, proving that disciplined processes and deep relationships deliver real impact.

What do you value about FBA?

We joined Family Business Association this year to connect with a community that understands the realities and privileges of building a business with your family. We value peer learning, access to tailored education, and the chance to pay it forward within the WA family business ecosystem.

What advice would you give to other family businesses?

Name your values and then bring them to life by making them part of your hiring criteria, the language you use for feedback, and the habits you model as a leader.
