Meet the Owners of All Saints Winery
Meet the makers of All Saints Estate, St Leonards Vineyard, and Mount Ophir Estate wines from the Rutherglen Wine Region. Fourth-generation siblings Nick, Eliza, and Angela Brown blend tradition with modern winemaking plus world class restaurants and accommodation. All Saints Estate, awarded a Halliday 5-Star rating for over a decade and 2025 Fortified Wine of the Year, is known for its heritage castle, ancient barrels, and old vine plantings. St Leonards Vineyard, 2km away, thrives in a unique microclimate, producing aromatic wines like Cabernet Franc. Mount Ophir Estate, with Shiraz grown on red clay loam over quartz, showcases Nick’s minimal intervention approach, resulting in elegant, complex wines.
A Family-Owned Business Since 1864
All Saints Estate is a family owned winery established in 1864 located on the banks of the Murray River in Wahgunyah, North East Victoria. Original owners George Sutherland Smith, and John Banks, arrived from Caithness, Scotland in 1852 and began growing vines at ‘Sunday Creek’ closer to Wahgunyah than the present All Saints Estate winery, before relocating to build the 'All Saints castle' just three miles north of Wahgunyah, in 1864. Today, the Brown siblings own the Estate and make hand crafted wines with a modern attitude. The family’s vision for both properties is to continue growing, making and selling fine wine, and to make a mark on the future landscape of Australian winemaking domestically and overseas.
Siblings at the helm
Eliza, Angela and Nicholas Brown own All Saints Estate and neighbouring property, St Leonards Vineyard in Wahgunyah. The siblings share leadership roles with Eliza as Director of Hospitality, Finance and Administration with sister Angela Sales and Marketing Director and brother Nicholas as Winemaker and General Manager. Each brings a wealth of experience gained both in and outside the wine industry.
The siblings share the vision of producing premium table wines of outstanding quality as well as offering Australia’s most exceptional winery experiences. They each believe that innovation, youthful passion, agility, design and sustainability; combined with a healthy respect for traditional winemaking supported by a talented team of people, are the key to delivering that vision.
