About our speakers:
Christian Teese, Rigby Cooke Lawyers
Christian Teese is a Partner with over 15 years of specialised practice experience in wills, estates, trusts litigation and automotive.
Christian has extensive experience acting for administrators and trustees in relation to estate and trust administration issues, as well as beneficiaries and other claimants pursuing a diverse range of wills, trusts and estate issues. He has extensive experience advising not-for-profit entities and is a regular resenter to the profession on estates litigation.
In addition to his specialised Wills, estates and trusts experience, Christian has acted for motor vehicle manufacturers and financiers, dealership groups, dealer councils and heavy machinery manufacturers across of a broad range of disputes, regulatory and general advisory issues in multiple jurisdictions.
Recognised for his expertise in wills and estates litigation, disputes and contested matters, Christian has been ‘recommended’ for three consecutive years in the Doyle’s Guide, Leading Wills & Estates Litigation Lawyers – Victoria. He was first recognised as a ‘Rising Star’ in 2021.
Christian has earned recognition for taking a cost-effective and sensible approach to litigation and has significant experience in disputes concerning legal costs.
Elizabeth Guerra-Stolfa, Rigby Cooke Lawyers
Elizabeth Guerra-Stolfa has been an FBA member since 1998 and an accredited family business advisor since the inception of FBA's advisor's accreditation program in 2010.
Elizabeth is renowned for her proactive and no nonsense approach to giving legal advice and for this reason, is trusted by her clients. She is always focused on commercial outcomes but is ever mindful of the emotional complexities of family business disputes. Her practice spans all areas of commercial litigation, including family business and shareholder disputes, contractual disputes, Australian Consumer Law disputes, retail lease disputes, property litigation and professional negligence claims.
As an accredited mediator Elizabeth also proactively guides and advises on alternative methods of dispute resolution including mediation, to try and achieve faster and more cost effective outcomes for her clients.
