Now celebrating 50 years in business, David Hayes, heads up Thermosash Commercial Ltd and is a second-generation family owner and director. The business has offices and manufacturing facilities in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch. David is joined in the business by his wife Charmian and sons Chris, Laurie and Jamie. The business operates as part of the Thermosash Group of Companies which includes Woods Glass, Insite Facades and Window Engineering Consultants (established to offer engineering advice and undertake physical façade testing to International Standards).
Thermosash commenced operations in Auckland, New Zealand in June 1973 under the direction of the five founding engineers who had, through their senior positions with Crittall Metal Windows, accumulated over 120 years of expertise in the Commercial Window Industry. Under its founder Laurie Hayes (David’s father) and their modern integrated suites, Thermosash quickly developed a reputation for innovation and expertise.
The business prides itself on ongoing innovation and continual reinvestment in plant and technical / professional staff to keep abreast with technological and industry demands. This has given the business a competitive advantage within the New Zealand façade industry as a critical path sub-contractor responsible for closing-in structures quickly.
