This month's topic: Estate and Succession Planning - Part 2
In her June presentation, Rosemary shared her knowledge and experience with us on Estate Planning. Her presentation was engaging and valuable; however, she only managed to cover Estate Planning and address a wide range of questions from the attending advisors.
Rosemary has graciously agreed to join us again in September to conclude the remaining part of her presentation on Succession planning. During this session, she will elaborate on why Estate Planning and Succession are unique but should be considered together if family business owners want a shot at a smooth transition of wealth, protection of their legacy and preserving family harmony. Rosemary believes it is crucial to understand family dynamics and each client’s circumstances when implementing estate and succession plans. By understanding the relationships within a family, she can help clients meet their objectives and implement plans that minimise the risk of future conflicts.
Key Learnings:
- An understanding of the difference between estate and succession planning and how the two overlap.
- What comprises a good succession plan.
- Clarify those nagging questions you want to be answered or clarified.
