This month's topic: WA focused economic update and property market outlook

  • Western Australia remains one of the best performing states and territories, and we will explore the reasons for this including population growth, an increasingly resilient mining sector and strong Government finances.
  • Perth has had the strongest housing price increases since COVID, and challenges in the construction sector mean that supply and demand will remain imbalanced for some time.
  • Commercial Property in Perth has outperformed most of the rest of the country, especially in the CBD. But it’s not all smooth sailing as people’s spending behaviours change.

About our Speaker: Daniel Gradwell

Daniel works in ANZ’s Commercial Property division, where he provides client insights across the residential and commercial property segments. His previous role as a Senior Economist in ANZ’s Research team allows him to combine macroeconomic themes with the specifics of the Property sector. Daniel’s views are regularly presented to stakeholders, clients and the media, and his analysis is used to help inform and shape ANZ’s lending and risk strategy.

We look forward to seeing you there.

This is a hybrid event and you may attend in person or online. If you are unable to attend in person and would like to join the meeting via video, please contact Katie McMeekin, FBA State Representative WA for the link.
