Tell us about your business?
In 2021, I embarked on a transformative journey, pivoting my career of over 30 years in financial services to launch Auxilliam, a business dedicated to providing aged care financial advice. The inspiration behind this shift was deeply personal – witnessing the challenges families face in navigating the complexities of elderly care ignited a passion within me to make a difference.
My business, focuses on minimising the financial burden of aged care, driven by a commitment to preserving the assets of the elderly. By offering strategic financial advice, I aim to empower families to navigate the intricate landscape of aged care costs, ensuring that their loved ones receive the best possible care without sacrificing their hard-earned assets.
What do you value about FBA?
Recognising the importance of connecting with like-minded professionals, I enthusiastically joined Family Business Association. This decision was fuelled not only by a desire to collaborate with a community that shares my values but also with the vision of creating a family business that supports the involvement of my daughter, Maddison, as she enters and grows within the industry.
As my daughter becomes more actively engaged in the business, the Family Business Association will enable me to leverage guidance on succession planning while fostering a supportive environment for family-oriented enterprises.
