Tell us about your business?
I think business and entrepreneurship have been in our family for as long as I can remember. From a young age, I remember being involved with my parents' businesses, stuffing envelopes, and working in their warehouse. Generally helping out and learning the ropes and just generally getting involved.
I founded my business, Liquid Digital, to be a different kind of digital agency. We’re a family-owned business, and that shapes everything we do. For us, ‘family’ is about the trust, genuine integrity, and respectful relationships we build – not just with our clients, but within our own passionate and highly skilled team. We really are a close-knit business family, and we aim to take care of our team long term, and most of our clients work with us over several years.
Our purpose is to partner with businesses to help them realise their full digital potential. We started with the conviction that in a world of constant digital change, businesses needed more than just a service provider; they needed a genuine partner to help them navigate the complexity.
What truly sets us apart is our strategic, holistic approach. We don’t just build websites or run campaigns in isolation. We developed a proprietary methodology called the Digital IQ Framework, which assesses a business’s digital maturity across six key pillars:
-
Vision & Strategy
-
Brand & Communication
-
Systems & Integrations
-
Marketing & Sales
-
Experience Design, UI & UX
-
Business Intelligence
This framework allows us to create a clear, tailored roadmap for growth, ensuring every digital initiative is perfectly aligned with overarching business goals. We deliver an integrated, end-to-end service, from high-level strategy and branding right through to technical development, marketing automation, and data analysis.

What has been your greatest success?
One of our proudest achievements was our partnership with Freeview Australia. We were tasked with designing and developing the user experience for their Freeview FV and HbbTV apps, a ‘never-before-seen’ app for a committee of Australia’s major free-to-air television networks.
The challenge was to create a single, intuitive platform that seamlessly integrated live and catch-up content from 19 different channels. It required deep collaboration, technical innovation, and a human-centric design approach to make it work.
The result was a world-first platform that completely transformed the free-to-air viewing experience in Australia. The apps won international Connie and Stevie awards, but the real success was delivering something that millions of Australians would not only use but find genuinely valuable. It perfectly represents our ability to tackle intricate projects and deliver measurable, successful outcomes for our clients.
What do you value about FBA?
Working with my brother David on another family business, he recommended I check out FBA, as ethically it seemed like a natural fit. While we compete in fast-moving environments, we prefer working with ethical businesses and genuine people, which seem to be the majority of members in the FBA.
As a family business, joining FBA was a natural fit. We value the sense of community and the opportunity to connect with other businesses that share similar journeys and values. There's an unspoken understanding among members about the unique challenges and opportunities we face. What we value most is the platform for shared learning and the support network that FBA provides, which is invaluable for navigating the path of sustainable growth.
What advice would you give to other family businesses?
My first piece of advice is to treat digital as a core capability, not a destination. Your digital presence is as fundamental as your physical one, and it requires a holistic strategy that connects every part of your business, from operations and sales to marketing and customer experience. A fragmented approach just won’t cut it anymore.
Second, lean into your values. In a family business, your integrity, commitment, and the relationships you build are your greatest strengths. These values create trust and authenticity, which are incredibly powerful in the digital world. Don’t be afraid to let that human, personable character shine through in your communications.
Finally, find the right partners. You’re experts in your field, but you don’t have to be experts in everything. Collaborating closely with specialists who understand your vision can accelerate your growth and help you evolve. Building a strong, respectful partnership allows you to focus on what you do best, confident that your digital future is in expert hands.
