How much is my business worth?
Clients often ask a series of connected questions: “How much is my business worth?” followed by “How do I sell it?”, “Who will buy it – family or someone else?”, and finally, “How much tax will I pay?”
As a family business advisor and accountant, I help clients navigate these concerns—business valuation, sale readiness, succession and tax implications. A holistic approach starts with understanding their goals to maximize value and ensure the best outcome for their family.
A key factor is timing. Preparing a business for sale, increasing its value, and successfully transferring ownership typically takes three to five years—often longer than clients expect. Proper planning allows for better positioning, tax efficiency, and smoother transitions.
My role is to provide clear, strategic guidance at every stage, ensuring informed decisions that align with financial and personal objectives.
